The Troppo is a good wave step up board. Its outline, rocker and rail line are all about even flowing curves designed to fit in perfect 5-6ft plus surf. This design is more about control than speed generation so has less single concave than my shortboard models and a slightly more pronounced double between the fins. It has low rails, a refined foil and a fairly pulled in rounded pintail which helps it transition from rail to rail with ease. This is a smooth, dependable and confidence inspiring board for when the waves get a bit more serious. 

 

It works best as a standard thruster setup and also works very well as four or six channel for some extra drive and hold on rail.
