The 'Sports' longboard is a more traditional version of a performance longboard that carves as well as it nose rides. Generally surfed a bit shorter than your nose rider, it is a very playful and versatile longboard. The Sports was designed for someone who wants to do proper carves out on the face, not just pivot turns in the pocket.

 

It was originally designed with advanced surfers in mind, but its additional rocker curve has also made it a great choice for intermediates looking for their first longboard. Its Vee double concave found directly under foot combined with proper hard edge through the tail helps it drive hard off the bottom. It also has nose concave which helps to provide lift while trimming on the nose and walking the board.

 

It can be ridden as both 2+ 1 or straight 9" - 10" single fin and is generally glassed a bit lighter than logs to keep it nice and playful.
