The 'Sports' longboard is a more traditional version of a performance longboard that carves as well as it nose rides. Generally surfed a bit shorter than your nose rider, it is a very playful and versatile longboard. The Sports was designed for someone who wants to do proper carves on their longboard, not just pivot turns and nose ride. It was originally designed with advanced surfers in mind, though has proved to be a great choice for intermediates looking for their first longboard. This is because it is generally a bit lighter and easy to turn, due to its added rocker and more curvy plan shape. Its Vee double concave found directly under foot drives off the bottom with speed, it also has nose concave which helps to provide lift while trimming on the nose. A Sports from 8'10 up is an awesome nose rider. It can be ridden as both 2+ 1 or straight 9" - 10" single fin.
