The Pineapple Express is the most tuned up, high performance shortboard in the Hydro Theory lineup. It has quite a lot of rocker, particularly in the tail and low sensitive rails. This combined with a deep single concave gives it a ton of speed where it is most at home driving through fast open face carves, but will also release the fins into the lip with ease. It suits a surfer that likes to keep their feet grounded and has a smaller sweet spot than the Golden Boy. 4 channels can be added for extra drive and hold and a touch more sensitivity under foot. It is generally surfed as a thruster only and paired with either thumb or rounded pin tail.
