The Pineapple Express is the most tuned up, high performance shortboard in the Hydro Theory lineup. It is quite refined with a lower volume overall. Deep single concave and a flatter rocker line leading into the fins give it a ton of speed, while low soft and forgiving rails keep you in control when carving at high speeds. It suits a surfer that likes to keep their feet grounded and has a smaller sweet spot than the Golden Boy. The nose is refined and has more rocker, lending itself to a more vertical attack. The Pineapple Express works best in a wide open face in powerful surf where it can be pushed to the limits. It is generally surfed as a thruster only and paired with either thumb or rounded pin tail.
